Your Favorite Posts of 2012

I can't believe this year is over already! It went by so fast!

I wanted to take time to share with you my top 10 post for 2012.  I think you may be surprised to find that most of them were on my kitchen remodel and not my furniture. :-)

So here we go. The most viewed post was my tutorial on how to make your own butcher block, style, counter-tops out of oak flooring. They are finished out with a thick, polyurethane coating.  I love them and after several months they still look great!

You may click any of the pictures to go to the full post.

The second most viewed post was a furniture redo. My tutorial on transferring an image onto a small foyer table with a product called "TAP".

Third was my tutorial on painting your stock, kitchen cabinets to look vintage using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and a dry brushing technique. I use this technique on my furniture all the time.

The fourth most popular was my glass-tile back-splash on a budget.

Next I shared how to upgrade your stock, kitchen cabinets by closing in the bottom and adding molding.

Sixth was the kitchen REVEAL!

Seventh was a re-purpose of a vintage bed to a porch or garden bench.

Number eight was my birds and roses dresser. I share how to use lace to paint a stencil.

Ninth was a tutorial on removing a popcorn ceiling. Folks there is no way to do this neatly. lol

My tenth most popular post was when I shared images of what I dreamed my kitchen could be.

I'm so glad for each and every one of my new "friends" this year and for all of you that have been with me since the beginning. Thank you for joining me and I hope I have been able to educate, inspire, and encourage you with every post.

Have a wonderful 2013!

Hugs,

Free Graphics Wednesday #39

Wow! Are you recovered yet? I've been taking it pretty easy all day. Although I did get out and slap some paint on a chifferobe I'm working on. :-)  I'll be sharing soon.

I know we are all tired so I'll get right to business. Here are your free images.

I'm sharing graphics for you to use in your Valentine's projects today.

First up we have a Dicken's style card. This little fellow has a prop on the back so you can stand him up.

Love the beautiful handwriting of this vintage French post card.

One of my favorite cards this one has such a devoted vintage couple. He looks like he just adores her.

Two lovely cherubs.

Without cherubs.

Cherubs only. :-)

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful New Year!

My Heart is not in it today.

Hello my friends.  My heart is very heavy today at the lost of so many angels this last weekend and as a result I will not be having our link party this week or next week. I will share the features and a new link party on January 2, 2012 so that we all have more time to hold our families a little closer and enjoy their company during the Holidays.

I am going instead to share photos of those lovely children and the heroes that cared for them and tried to save them.

God bless and keep their families and friends and give them comfort.

Stop By And See My Pink And White Tree

 Wow! Christmas is almost here!

Don't worry if you haven't gotten all of your shopping done. I haven't either. lol

I thought I would stop running around like a crazy woman and take time to share my Christmas tree with you.  I bought this white, lighted tree last year and I really love it.

This year I set it up in my eat in kitchen area as the window faces the front of my house, and hey, it really looks pretty with all my blue, pink, and gray!

I love picking out new ornaments every year its a very personal thing for me. So I have new ornaments to share and I added some pink tulle also this year. Enjoy.

No presents under the tree yet this was right after I put it up.

My favorite he makes me smile. :-)

It's a tradition in my family to have a mouse on the tree for good luck.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
