Free Graphic Wednesday #70

Hello everyone. Its Free Graphic Wednesday again! And #70! Yoohoo!

I can not believe I am still sharing images. Who knew I had so many?

My husband, thats who, as he says I am always buying things no one else wants. lol I have informed him that there seem to be a lot of people who like my old pictures. Hah!

Here they are for this week.

I love this silhouette don't you?

I thought the silhouette and the following apple were appropriate for the season. It is apple season isn't it? I don't eat them much myself unless they are in pies. :-)

This elk is another seasonal image for all of you hunters out there. :-)

Love this French theatre sign.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I will be sharing a couple of pieces of furniture with you in the next day or so. So please come back by and check them out. I tried a new color...lavender.

Take care,

My New Pfister Faucet

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful day.

I want to take a minute to share with you my good fortune. If you have been following me for awhile you know a few months ago I became a friend of Pfister. You can click on the button below to go to their web site.

After I joined I entered a contest and won a fabulous faucet! I say fabulous because Pfister only makes top of the line faucets.  Here is the one I chose. Yes, I got to choose any faucet I wanted!

I chose a kitchen faucet. As you know I completely refinished my kitchen last summer in a shabby chic, vintage style. (You may see the finished kitchen here.) So when I saw their Ashfield Collection in the brushed nickel it was love at first sight.

I love the handles that look like little, old fashioned water pumps, but just turn left to right like normal handles. My grand-children tried their best to pump them up and down. lol

It also has the pull out sprayer that has adjustable flow and switches from full flow to a rain flow.

My husband installed it and said it was very easy to install and since he is very handy around the house he didn't even need the instructions.  He also said that he was impressed with the quality of all the parts most of them being metal not plastic.

Pfister gives you a lifetime limited warranty on mechanical and pfinish as long as you own your home.

Now to pfinish up (yes I went there) I'd like to say that yes, I won the faucet, but I was not required to post a wonderful review about Pfister and their products. This is an honest opinion and I would be glad to purchase any of their products in the future.

I hope you like my new addition to my shabby chic kitchen. Thank you for stopping by today.

Hugs,

Free Graphics Wednesday #69

Hi, I hope you had a great "Hump Day."  I've been really  busy putting together some furniture and smalls for my booth at King's Antique Mall.

I'm painting furniture, making buntings, and ironing vintage doilies.

That said, I'm glad to stop and sit down at the computer and put together Free Graphic Wednesday. I'm beat. :-)

So here we go.

I thought these bird dogs were appropriate as most of the men I know are dove and duck hunting right now.

Deer season will soon be on us and I love to eat the meat but I just hate to see one shot. Its those big 'ole brown eyes that get me every time. We are fortunate to have an abundance of deer in our area, but you have to drive carefully. As I found out a couple of years ago when I hit one!

Another school girl this week. I think she is cute don't you?

I'll have some furniture to share in the next couple of days. Start thinking "lavender". Yes, I've got purple on the brain lately. :-)

Have a great rest of the week,

Hugs,

Antique Furniture Finds

Hello friends. I have not written anything in a couple of days but as I don't have a finished piece to share yet I thought I would post a few of the great pieces I have purchased lately at different venues.

The first piece is this fabulous, small, refurbished, antique ice box. I just love it! I've been searching for one for a long time. This one is a keeper.

This is a buffet I picked up that definitely needs a little TLC. My grandchildren love to hang out with Nonnie in her work shop and suddenly realized how fun it is to peel veneer!

Well, that is, it was fun until it wasn't coming off easily then they quit. lol

Its up to me now with my heat gun and damp towel. Notice the handle on top? I think the center is Lucite. I'll probably put them back on the buffet after cleaning them up.

This is a gorgeous antique chest of drawers that had those molded fruit handles. The handles are disintegrating and will have to be replaced. One of the things I love about this piece is the square nails you can see holding it together.

Love the lines of this little oval table. The legs, the wavy top edges, etc... There is a small piece missing on the edge but will be no problem to repair since I'm painting it.

This is a nice little occasional table I picked up at an estate sale. Its a very heavy solid wood piece as are all of the pieces I'm sharing with you.

When I first started I would buy almost anything I could redo because I was on a very limited budget, but now I will only buy solid wood, quality pieces.

Another lovely piece is this French Provincial toilet table/desk.  I haven't decide what I want to do with it yet. Any suggestions?

Don't you love my ca 1950's little, pink & white stool? I'm keeping this as it is perfect for my shabby chic kitchen.

I found this fabulous heavy, gold leafed, candle sconce with real crystals for a song at an estate sale. Love it.

I also found another jewelry armoire exactly like the last one I refurbished. This one is going to be lavender.

I'm not sure yet how I'm going to paint or stain all of these pieces. Sometimes I just have to look at them for awhile until inspiration strikes.

What would you do to them?

That's all for today. Have a great week and be sure to come back Wednesday for Free Graphic Wednesday.

Free Graphics Wednesday #68

Welcome to Free Graphic Wednesday. I'm happy to share my vintage and antique images with you each week.

I found some really pretty ones for you today so let's get right to them.

I love this silhouette. She's off to school with her pigtails, notebook, and basket lunch.

Well, that's it for this week. Hope you find these graphics useful.

I'm so glad you stopped by.
